Before coming to Insureon, Kate worked in social services and mental health counseling in Alaska for over 12 years before eventually transitioning to full-time content writing and editing. She landed her first writing job at a software startup in Europe, where she worked for several years before moving to Insureon.

Education

Kate attended Pierce College and the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. She studied sociology because she loved learning how people and systems work.

She worked for the student newspaper while attending college, and this experience awakened a love of writing she's carried with her throughout the rest of her life.
